Will Test COVID Vaccine on Myself to Address Trust Deficit: Harsh Vardhan
Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on September 13 said that he will take the first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine if there is lack of trust over it's safety. He stated that the vaccine may be launched in the first quarter of 2021, with making it available first to those in need. Vardhan also lauded the works of the Department of Biotechnology and the Indian Council of Medical Research.

ICMR's Report Suggests India Had 64 Lakh COVID Cases by May
According to a serological survey by ICMR, the number of COVID-19 cases in May might have reached 64 lakhs. However, India had officially recorded only 85,940 cases until mid-May. ICMR Study Suggests Plasma Therapy Does Not Prevent COVID-19
According to a study by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), plasma therapy is not effective in reducing the mortality rate nor does it prevent COVID-19 from advancing to the next stage. The study, conducted during April 22-July 14, reviewed health conditions of 464 participants from 39 tertiary care hospitals.
