India Open Badminton Tournament Pushed To Later Date Citing COVID
The India Open 500 tournament, which was to be held in Delhi from May 11-16, has been postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 second wave. The Badminton Association of India has said that new dates will be announced "in time". The tournament was a part of the Tokyo Olympics 2021 selection process along with two other tournaments. Earlier, the 2020 edition was also cancelled due to the pandemic.
