Draupadi Is Not My Real Name, My Teacher Gave Me, Says President Murmu
The 15th President of India Draupadi Murmu revealed that it is not her birth name, but given by her school teacher. On July 25, after swearing-in as the next President of India, Murmu said, as per Santhali culture, a girl takes the name of her grandmother, while a son carries his grandfather’s nomenclature. Her name was Puti, which was later changed to Draupadi, given by her school teacher.

Ratan Munda Sentenced To Life Imprisonment In Triple Murder Case: Odisha
Ratan Munda (40), who was accused in a triple murder case, has been sentenced to life imprisonment in Odisha's Mayurbanj district. Reportedly, Munda hacked two women and a boy to death, and caused injury to four others, including a woman, in an incident which occurred on March 31, 2013. Additional District Judge Karanjia, Prashant Kumar Mishra pronounced the judgement after receiving statements from 29 witnesses.

Accused Gets Released Due To Lack Of Evidence After Spending 19 Yrs In Jail: Odisha
Habil Sindhu, an accused of triple murder case through black magic in 2003, was released by Mayurbhanj District Court, after serving 19 years of imprisonment. Sindhu was awarded life imprisonment in 2005 by the District and Sessions Judge, reported ETV Bharat. However, the case was reopened following the order of Orissa High Court. The court released Sindhu saying there isn't enough evidence against him.

Fire Breaks Out In Odisha's Simlipal Forest; Five Teams Deployed
The Odisha government on March 5 deployed five teams from the Jashipur Fire Station after destructive fires embroil the Simlipal Forest of the Mayurbhanj district. Reportedly, ten locations in the four ranges of the forest have been severely affected. While 25 fire department personnel equipped with five special vehicles have already been trying to douse the flames, ten more personnel will join them with three additional vehicles.
