Tech giant Microsoft has on October 5 announced that its new Operating System (OS) Windows 11 is now available for free on all eligible Windows 10 PCs in the world. Besides, the company's partners such as Asus, HP, and Lenovo will also provide the new pre-installed windows on their new PCs. ''We're pleased to bring the new Windows 11 to India,'' said Rajiv Sodhi, Microsoft India's Chief Operating Officer.

IIMA's Placement Drive Of PGPX Concludes, All 137 Students Placed

Microsoft To Reward Employees With $1,500 Pandemic Bonus
According to a report published on July 8, the tech giant Microsoft will reward its employees with $1,500 as a pandemic bonus for the “unique and challenging fiscal year that Microsoft just completed.” The bonus will be handed over to 150,000 employees and workers below the corporate vice president level. However, employees of its subsidiaries like LinkedIn, Github, and ZeniMax are not eligible for the bonus.

20-Year-Old Receives 22 Lakh Reward From Microsoft For Ethical Hacking
Aditi Singh, a 20-year-old girl has been rewarded $30,000 (Rs 22 lakh) by Microsoft for ethical hacking. Reportedly, Singh solved a major concern related to security and found an RCE bug in Microsoft's cloud platform Azure. "I joined the Allen Institute in Kota to prepare for the medicals... just been a year since I started bug bounty hunting," she said. However, she learned Javascript and other programming languages on YouTube.

Microsoft Teams To Provide Variable Playback Speed Feature
Microsoft Teams has decided to let its users have the option to change the playback speed in the Microsoft Stream, from 0.5x to 2x for recorded meetings stored in OneDrive and SharePoint. This feature would help people, including those with hearing issues, to take down complete notes. Recently, the platform also updated its features to automatically record meetings without the involvement of the organizer or IT team.
