PM Narendra Modi To Address NCC Rally At Cariappa Ground In Delhi

On January 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the National Cadet Corps PM Rally at the Cariappa ground in Delhi. Every year on January 28, the rally marks the culmination of the NCC Republic Day Camp, PMO stated. The PM will inspect the Guard of Honor and review the march past by various NCC contingents at the event. He would also present medals and batons to the deserving cadets.

Online Applications Made Available for NCC Special Entry Scheme: Indian Army

Applications for the NCC special entry scheme 50th course have been invited by the Indian Army. The application forms are available online for unmarried males and unmarried females for Short Service Commission in the Indian Army. The last date for the submission of online forms is July 15. There are total of 50 vacancies for NCC men and 5 vacancies for NCC women.

NCC Chief States Current Rules Disallow Inclusion Of Transgenders

National Cadet Corps (NCC) head DG Lieutenant General Tarun Kumar Aich on January 8 stated that present clauses governed by the NCC Act of 1948 do not warrant the inclusion of transgenders. The NCC chief said the uniformed youth organisation would need "numbers" and other "dynamics" to incorporate the third gender. Meanwhile, Kerala High court heard a plea requesting the admission of transgenders in the NCC the same day.
