Farmers Protests Against Union Govt, Demands Sacking Of Minister Ajay Mishtra
Farmers in Punjab staged a protest and demanded sacking of Union minister of state for home Ajay Mishra, amid the Lakhimpur accident, in which eight people, including four farmers, were killed. The Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMSC) blocked rail traffic for three hours from Monday noon on the first anniversary of the Lakhimpur Kheri violence. "We are holding protest at 17 locations in the region," said Sarwan Singh Pandher.

Tension Prevails In Kuppam After Unidentified People Attacks Anna Canteens
Tension prevailed in Kuppam district after some miscreants attacked Anna canteens, near the bus stand of Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. Upon hearing of the attack, the TDP leader rushed and staged a protest demanding strict action against the culprit. Protests Erupt In Old City After Release Of Suspended BJP MLA Raja Singh
MLA Raja Singh's controversy intensified with extreme protests in Old City, on August 24. Muslims across the Old City gathered and protested demanding action against the suspended BJP MLA Singh over his 'Prophet Muhammad' remark. Karnataka HC Directs Govt To Strictly Adhere To Regulations During Protests
Karnataka High Court ordered authorities to closely enforce the "Licensing and Regulation of Protests, Demonstrations and Protest Marches (Bengaluru City) Orders 2021" in order to resolve public interest litigation. The Karnataka Police Act directives limit demonstrations in Bengaluru to "Freedom Park." After protests and rallies on March 2, last year created huge traffic problems in the city, the court began the PIL on its own.

Protests Prohibited On Campus Of Lucknow University Prior To NAAC Inspection
Protests, "dharnas," and processions are all prohibited on the Lucknow University (LU) campus. Proctor Rakesh Dwivedi announced in a circular that no meetings will be permitted on university grounds owing to the district administration's application of Section 144. The movement was prompted by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) team's anticipated visit to the main LU campus on July 21-23.

The papers were signed on July 11, and were given to a senior government official. Notably, the resignation letter will be handed over to the speaker of Parliament, who will make a public announcement. Agnipath Scheme: SKM Stages Protests At Various States In India, Demands Cancellation Of Scheme
Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) observed nation wide protests on June 24, against centre's Agnipath scheme. Protests were staged in Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal. The protestors termed the scheme as "anti-military" and "anti-farmers". They demanded the president of India to cancel the Agnipath scheme and restore the regular recruitment policies.
