IMD Issues Red Alert, Predicts Heavy Rainfall In Isolated Regions Of MP
Amid heavy rains in many parts of Madhya Pradesh, schools are being closed in the low lying regions, including state capital Bhopal. On August 22, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) also issued a red alert and predicted heavy-to-very-heavy rainfall with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places of MP. Moreover, due to the rain situation, people of the state are suffering from water logging situations, with traffic issues.

IMD Issues Heavy To Very Heavy Rain Alert In Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a heavy to very heavy rainfall alert for states like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. On August 10, Wednesday, a depression, lay above Odisha, which will cause heavy to very heavy rainfall in low-lying isolated regions of Indian states. Besides the aforementioned states, regions of Tamil Nadu, Nalgonda and Karnataka are also on alert for the rainfall in the states.

IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall In Northwest Region, Issues Yellow Alert
Northwest states like Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and others are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next few days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted enhanced rainfall activity till July 31. Cyclone Jawad Weakens Into Depression; IMD Issues Heavy Rainfall Alert
As per IMD, Cyclone Jawad weakened into depression, on December 5. Although, it will reportedly bring heavy to very heavy rainfall in the coastal region of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal. The IMD issued an "Orange Alert" in all regions, asking people not to venture out with an exception for emergency. As per sources, relief measures are being carried out in all the cyclone affected regions.

IMD Issues Orange Alert In Tamil Nadu Due To Heavy Rains
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on November 23, issued Yellow alert (for November 23 and 24) and Orange alert (on November 24-25) for rainfall in Tamil Nadu. Due to the cyclonic circulation over Bay of Bengal, the southern state is expected to witness heavy to moderate rainfall in low lying regions for the next 4-5 days. People have been asked not to venture out "unnecessarily" and to stay indoors.
