SC Refuses To Entertain Nigerian Woman's Plea Challenging Fees Levied Over Exit Permits For Her Children
The apex court refused to entertain a plea filed by a Nigerian National, challenging the levying of fees to issue exit permits to her children. The Supreme Court then directed her to file it in the concerned High Court. The petitioner stated that an exit fees of Rs 4,34,000 was levied towards her children, when Registration of Foreigners Act, 1939, states that children below age of 12 are exempted.
