Former Gurdwara 'Granthi' Thrashed, Hair Cut By Unidentified Assailants In Rajasthan
An unidentified assailant allegedly assaulted and chopped the hair of a former "granthi" of gurdwara Gurubaksh Singh in Rajasthan's Alwar on July 22. A "granthi" is a ceremonial reader of the Sikh holy book. Tejaswani Gautam, Superintendent of Police in Alwar, believes Singh was targeted because of a historical feud between Sikhs and Meo Muslims in Alawada village over supposed love relationships. Further investigation is underway.

Madhya Pradesh: 2 Policemen Brutally Drag Sikh Man by his Hair, Video Goes Viral
A video went viral on August 7 in which two policemen can be seen brutally dragging a Sikh man by his hair in Palsud town of Madhya Pradesh's Barwani District. Both the policemen were suspended by the Barwani Superintendent of Police after finding them to be guilty of their actions. Reportedly, the victim Prem Singh earns his livelihood by running a small shop near the local Police post.
