Tollywood actor Allu Arjun's latest release 'Pushpa Raj,' collected highest first day record. On December 17, the Telugu movie collected over Rs 40 crore in India (Rs 24.90 crore from two Telugu states). Written and directed by Sukumar, the movie was released in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Meanwhile, Arjun in a tweet expressed excitement and said, "Pushpa Raj pockets the Highest Day 1 share in Nizam Rs 11.44 crore".

Choreographer Shiva Shankar passes away on November 28, at 72 due to Covid-19 complications. The treatment was undergone at the AIG Hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The ace choreographer has worked in more than 800 films in 10 languages. Moreover, he has won National Award for his choreography for the "Dheera Dheera" song (Maghadheera) in 2011. Celebrities like S.S. Rajamouli, Sonu Sood, and Prabhu Deva expressed grief over his demise.

Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya revealed their divorce through social media on October 2. Chaitanya and his family offered Samantha Rs 200 crore as settlement. In the latest development in the 2017 Tollywood Drug Scam, Babhubali actor Rana Daggubati has appeared before the ED in Hyderabad on September 8. Earlier, The agency had also summoned actors Rakul Preet and Ravi Teja but the actors weren't named in the charge-sheet of the excise SIT in 2017 due to lack of evidence. Reportedly, a drug racket was busted in 2017 to curb drug trafficking in Hyderabad.
