India Concludes FIH Pro League, Secures 3rd Spot In Debut Season
In the FIH Pro League in Rotterdam, the Indian Women's Hockey team scored 4-0 against the USA, on June 23. With this, the Indian Hockey team concluded their debut season, securing the third position. In the match, Vandana Katariya scored twice in the 39th and 54th minutes of the 70-minute match. India secured the third spot, whereas Argentina and Netherlands secured first and second positions, respectively.

India Loses To Great Britain In Women's Hockey At Tokyo Olympics
India's chances of qualifying for the quarterfinals were squashed as the Indian women's Hockey team loses to Britain 1-4 at the Tokyo Olympics on July 28. According to sources, the Indian women's team is guilty of wasting multiple chances, while Britain gained victory by utilizing most of the opportunities at their disposal. India will now have to win at the remaining games to qualify for the Knockout stage.

Women's Hockey: India Completes Argentina Tour Without Victory
The Indian women's hockey team secured a 1-1 draw against the world number two Argentina in the final match of their tour on January 31. Skipper Rani Rampal emerged as India's saviour with her goal at 35th minute. However, the squad remained deprived of victory with four losses and three draws. After the game, coach Sjoerd Marijne said, "We had to play more smartly, but that's something we can work on".
