Indian Men's Hockey Coach Submits Resignation
Indian men's hockey coach Graham Reid announced his resignation after the team's disappointing performance in the FIH World Cup 2023 in Odisha. On January 30, Graham said, "It is now time for me to step aside and hand over the reins to the next management." Besides Graham Reid, the team's analytical coach Greg Clark and scientific advisor Mitchell David Pemberton have also submitted their resignations.

India Defeats Japan 3-1 At FIH Hockey Women's World Cup 2022
The Indian women's team defeated Japan 3-1 in the 9-12th placings match of the FIH Hockey Women's World Cup Spain and Netherlands 2022 at Estadi Olimpic de Terrassa, Spain on July 13. Navneet Kaur led the way for India with a brace, and Deep Grace Ekka also scored an important goal in the game. Yu Asai scored the only goal for Japan in the game.

Indian Hockey Stalwart Varinder Singh Passes Away At 75
Hockey Star, an Olympian and World Cup medallist Varinder Singh (75) passed away on June 28, in Jalandhar. The prestigious Dhyan Chand Lifetime Achievement Award holder, a gold-medalist and pride of hockey stalwart participated in the 1975 men's Hockey World Cup in Kuala Lumpur, the only gold medal win of India. He was also in Olympic events winning bronze in 1972 and silver in 1973 matches for India.
