Ashraf Ghani Resigns As President Of Afghanistan
President Ashraf Ghani will tender his resignation as Afghanistan's president in few hours after the Taliban reached the gates of the capital city Kabul. "The militants are awaiting a peaceful transfer of Kabul city after they entered the capital's outskirts," a Taliban spokesperson said. Reportedly, former interior minister Ali Ahmad Jalali will head the interim government formed by the Taliban. No specifics on possible negotiations have been revealed.
