Average Salary Hike Down to 3.6% in 2020 from 8.6% in 2019

The second phase of the 2020 Workforce and Increment Trends survey by Deloitte revealed that the average salary increment in India has dropped to 3.6% in 2020 from 8.6% in 2019. While analysing the impact of the pandemic on the salary increments, the report stated only 40% of the companies surveyed gave a salary hike in 2020. The report also indicated that life sciences sector recorded highest increments in 2020.
