UP Becomes Most Inoculated State On First Day Of Vaccine Drive

As per reports, Uttar Pradesh has received the highest number of vaccine shots (21,291) after the launch of nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive. Andhra Pradesh (18,412), Maharashtra (18,328), and Bihar (18169) followed UP in the list of most vaccinated states. CBI Books UP Techie For Selling Child Porn Through Social Media

For allegedly selling child porn, the CBI on January 10 arrested an engineer from UP’s Sonbhadra district. The accused, Neeraj Yadav, used to advertise the objectionable material on Instagram and after receiving payments digitally, he used to share it on messaging apps. Neeraj revealed that he started this after losing job during the pandemic. Besides, the CBI has also booked his Delhi-based friend Kuljeet Singh Makan under the POCSO Act.

UP's New Policy Mandates Rs 21,000 Licence Fee To Stock Liquor

In the newly approved Liquor Policy, the Uttar Pradesh government has mandated to avail licence to store liquor at home. Under this, one can store up to 1.5 litres of country-made and Indian made foreign liquor along with four beer bottles. Moreover, to store above the prescribed limit, people will have to obtain Rs 12,000 worth annual licence and pay Rs 51,000 as security to the state excise department.

UP: 3 Arrested Over Killing Endangered Gangetic Dolphin

UP Police Arrests Prime Accused Priest In Badaun Rape-Murder Case

The Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested a priest, who was the prime accused in the Badaun gangrape and murder case. Reportedly, police have busted Mahant Satya Narayan in the wee hours of January 7 from Ughaiti region. While the other two accused were arrested a day before, the police had declared a Rs 50,000 cash reward for the absconded priest.
