Competition Regulator to Hold Antitrust Probe Against Google

The Competition Commission of India will hold an antitrust probe against Google's parent company Alphabet Inc. The action comes after Google obstructed the use or alterations of Android Operatiing System in smart TVs, thus involving in anti-competitive practices. Reportedly, the case was filed by two Indian antitrust lawyers and the regulator sought an explanation from Google. This is the fourth major antitrust probe that Google will face in India.
