As many as 9246 including the CM of Chin State, Salai Lian Luai have been staying in Mizoram as refugees since February, said the Mizoram police. These people also include 24 lawmakers of Aung San Suu Kyi's party who have taken refuge after a military coup. However, the refugees have been provided food and shelter by civil society organisations, student communities & locals.
The legislator from BJP, R Selvam was unanimously elected as the speaker for the Puducherry Assembly on June 16. As soon as the assembly convened, protem speaker K Lakshminarayanan made the announcement in the House. However, Selvam is MLA from Manavely constituency. Besides, he is also one of the first legislators of the territory and was elected by the Chief Minister N Rangasamy and Leader of Opposition R Siva.

China accused NATO for exaggerating the China Threat Theory. In a statement China urged upon NATO to view China's development rationally, stop various forms of exaggeration of 'China threat theory' and not to use its legitimate interests and legal rights for manipulating group politics to create artificial confrontations. The statement came after China was criticised on human rights violations in Hong Kong and Xinjiang in G7 summit.
Akali Dal Chief Sukhbir Badal, on June 14 was detained for protesting outside Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh's farmhouse. The Akali's demanded the dismissal of Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu and to initiate CBI's investigation in the sale of vaccines and covid kits. They also raised a demand for the acquisition of land at market rates and alleged that the government has been gaining benefits from the pandemic misery.

A Kashmiri man was arrested for allegedly "promoting enmity" during a public hearing durbar held organised by Lieutenant Governor, on June 10. While addressing Farooq Khan an advisor to the LG, Sajad Rashid Sofi said that he has no hope from non-native officers. This infuriated Ganderbal DC Krittika Jyotsna who strongly objected. However, Mr Sofi was arrested by the Safapora Police officials and charged with section 153A.
After the BSP Chief Mayawati expelled Nine MLAs, SP Head Akhilesh Yadav met them on June 15 and is expected to shift their party. However, they say "We do not have a problem with Mayawati. We have a problem with deputy Satish Mishra." Besides, this may affect the political equations of Uttar Pradesh elections. Earlier, in 2017 elections, BSP won 19 seats and lost one in by-elections.
Post poll violence in West Bengal, several women have approached the SC for justice. A 60-year-old women has accused the TMC workers for being allegedly gang-raped in-front of her six-year-old grand son. As per her statement, five TMC workers barged into her house on May 3, looted valuable objects and threatened her to bomb. However, she also alleged that the local police refused to record her complaint.
After the death of Ram Vilas Paswan's father, it is expected that Lok Janshakti Party Chief Chirag Paswan may lose Five out of six MPs due to internal mutiny. However, these MP's have requested the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to identify them as separate MPs. Reportedly, Chirag's Uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras has revolted with the others and is likely to join the ruling party JD(U).

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau chaired seven discussions against China in the G7 summit, urging leaders to develop a coherent response to the challenges posed by China. Following which Beijing has forewarned the leaders that "small" groups don't decide the world's fate anymore. China's spokesperson added that they believe all countries are equals, and world affairs should be handled through everyone's consultation.
