Sirisha Bandla, 2nd Indian Born To Fly To Space After kalpana Chawla
Sirisha Bandla, an aeronautical engineer to become the second India-born woman after Kalpana Chawla, to fly to outer space. The Telugu woman from Houston will fly on July 11 along with five space travelers aboard VSS Unity of Virgin Galactic, scheduled to take off from New Mexico. “I am so incredibly honored to be a part of a company whose mission is to make space available to all,” Bandla tweeted.
