US Open: Dominic Thiem Claims Maiden Grand Slam Title
Austrian tennis player Dominic Thiem defeated Germany's Alexander Zevrev to clinch his first Grand Slam title. The second seeded Thiem took nearly 4 hours and 2 minutes to beat Zevrev by 2-6, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 (8/6). He also became the first new Grand Slam champion since 2014. The Arthur Ashe stadium, where the final was held, barely had any spectators to view the final due to the pandemic.
