The Asian Cricket Council on July 19, announced the schedule for this year's Asia Cup tournament which will be played in Pakistan and Sri Lanka but hosted solely by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB.) The six-nation Asia Cup 2023 will consist of 13 one-day internationals in total with the opening game between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan on August 30.

IPL Chairman Arun Dhamal confirmed that India is not travelling to Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup. After the ICC Chief Executive meeting, the BCCI Jay Shah and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) representative Zaka Ashraf are scheduled to hold a meeting on July 13, and discuss the Asia Cup. However, it is confirmed that Rohit Sharma-led Indian Squad would play a match against Pakistan in Sri Lanka.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) appointed Arjit Agarkar as the chairman of the committee of men's cricket team selection. Dream 11 replaced Byju's and become the sponsor for the jersey of the Indian Cricket Team. Notably, BYJU's had quit after the end of the last financial cycle and BCCI had invited closed bids for its new sponsor and Dream11, which is going to be the prominent finance investor for Jersey.
