BMC Issues Notice To Hanuman Chalisa Row MLA Couple

In another set back for the "Hanuman Chalisa" row MLA couple Navneet Rana and Ravi Rana, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a notice over "illegal construction" at their residence in Mumbai's Khar. As per the notice, issued under the Mumbai Corporation Act 1888, Section 488, the BMC officials have the rights to visit the constriction and undertake any decision.

BMC To Begin Screening For ILI, SARI Infected Patients Amid COVID-19 Surge

In view of the Covid-19 surge, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will soon restart tight screening and monitoring of people complaining of influenza-like-illness (ILI) and severe acute respiratory illness (SARI). COVID-19 Vaccination Centres To Remain Closed On April 14: BMC

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) announced that all the COVID-19 vaccination centers will remain closed in Mumbai, on April 14. Notably, in Mumbai vaccination centers, India-made Covishield and Covaxin vaccines are being given to the people. The majority of the population, including 100% adult population are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 infection. The vaccination drives will resume from April 15, morning.

COVID-19 Vaccination Centres To Remain Shut Amid Gudipadwa: Maharashtra

In view of the Gudipadwa celebrations in Maharashtra, all the COVID-19 vaccination centers will remain shut in Mumbai, on April 2 and 3. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation took to Twitter and said, "All BMC and Government CVCs will be closed on April 2nd, Saturday, and on April 3rd, Sunday. All vaccination services will resume from April 4, 2022". Notably, Gudipadwa, marks the beginning of New Year in Maharashtra.

BMC Asks Rane To Demolish Illegal Addition At Mumbai Residence

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has asked Union minister Narayan Rane to demolish illegal construction at his bungalow in Juhu in 15 days. On March 14, the BMC issued a notice,  "If you (the owner) fail to comply, you will be liable for prosecution under section 475 A of the MMC Act". Earlier also, the BMC issued a notice and warned to remove illegal construction or else legal-action will be taken.

No Illegal Or Commercial Activities In House, Says Narayan Rane After BMC Notice

Union Minister Narayan Rane, on February 18, received notice from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) over his house. The BMC furthermore inspected Narayan's residence. He stated that the bungalow was constructed in 2009 by famous architect, following 1999 Development Control Regulations, assuring no illegal or commercial activities. 5 Storey Building Collapses In Mumbai's Bandra; People Likely Trapped Inside

Several people are likely to be trapped in a building, after it collapsed in Mumbai's Bandra. On January 26, a five-storeyed building collapsed. The Bhrihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and police rushed to the spot to begin rescue operations. Moreover, a team of fire brigade and six ambulances also reached the spot to rescue five-six people trapped in debris. Further details on the matter is awaited.

Fire Breaks Out At 20-Storey Kamala Building In Mumbai; At Least 2 Dead, 15 Injured

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said, at least two people died after a massive fire broke out on the 20-storey Kamala building near Mumbai's Bhatia hospital, on January 22. About 15 people were injured and were shifted to hospital in the fire incident, said DCP Saurabh Tripathi. "Traffic police and local people were involved in the rescue operation," said DCP.
