SC Announces Verdict In Shiv Sena V/S Shiv Sena Row
In a major blow to the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena faction, the Supreme Court (SC) ruled on that Eknath Shinde could retain his post as Chief Minister. In the verdict of Shiv Sena V/S Shiv Sena, the Apex Court bench also turned down the plea of Uddhav Thackeray, which sought to retain the government, saying rather than facing floor test, Uddhav Thackeray quit as CM.

In a major drawback for the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena faction, the Thackeray camp MLAs are likely to join the opposition, Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction. Addressing the media, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said, "There is only one Shiv Sena. We have the party name and symbol. Everyone will have to be with us and follow what we say." Eknath Shinde Announces As Chief Of Shiv Sena
Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde has been announced as the President of the Shiv Sena. After the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced 'bow & arrow' symbol and Shiv Sena party name to Eknath Shinde led faction. Although, the Uddhav Thackeray filed a petition in the Supreme Court (SC,) against the ECI decision, demanding a stay order. However, the Top Court refused to issue stay order on the ECI order.

Eknath Shinde Calls For Executive Meeting Of Shiv Sena Leaders
After retaining original Shiv Sena symbol 'bow&arrow', Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde called for a major national executive meeting of the party leaders. The Shiv Sena meeting is scheduled on February 21, which will be attended by MLAs, MPs and other Shiv Sena leaders who have been working with Shinde after he called for his own Shiv Sena Party. Uddhav Thackeray Moves SC Against ECI Decision Of Shiv Sena Symbol
Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena faction moved the Supreme Court against the ECI decision of Shiv Sena symbol row. On February 20, advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi filed a petition to the bench of SC led by CJI DY Chandrachud and urged for an urgent listing of the matter. However, the Top Court refused to listen for urgent listing and asked Singhvi to file the matter on February 21, as procedure.

Will Figh Bow & Arrow With Mashaal: Uddhav Thackeray
After losing the Shiv Sena's symbol of 'bow & arrow' to the Eknath Shinde faction, Uddhav Thackeray said, they will not fight against Shinde with the 'Mashaal' symbol. Notably, on February 17, Election Commission declared the Eknath Shinde faction of Shiv Sena to have the original 'bow & arrow' symbol. "The PM thinks he can finish Shiv Sena, but Shiv Sena will never be finished," said Uddhav Thackeray.

NCP Sharad Pawar Gives Advice To Uddhav Thackeray Over Symbol Row
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar gave a remark on the loss of the "bow and arrow" symbol of his ally Uddhav Thackeray faction. On February 17, Pawar advised Uddhav Thackeray to accept the new symbol, saying people will accept the new symbol. The remark came after the ECI ordered that the party name "Shiv Sena" and the party symbol "Bow and Arrow" for Eknath Shinde.
