Ten men including the son of a local BJP leader were arrested for allegedly raping two sisters in Chhattisgarh's Raipur district, police said on September 1. The incident took place on August 31 night near Bhansoj village when the sisters, accompanied by a man, were returning after celebrating Raksha bandhan festival, said Raipur SSP Prashant Agrawal. The victims, 19 and 16 year old registered a complaint, against the accused.
