TMC Appoints Sushmita Dev, Sourav Chakraborty As Party In-Charge: Goa
Ahead of the Goa Assembly elections, the TMC appointed Sushmita Dev and Sourav Chakraborty as state co-in-charges of the All India Trinamool Congress, Goa unit. The decision was taken by TMC President Mamata Banerjee. Meanwhile, Sushmita Dev is an MP of TMC and Sourav Chakraborty was a former MLA. Notably, Abhishek Banerjee, the National General of TMC, issued a press release regarding the same.

Mamata Banerjee To Visit Goa For Strengthening Party Ahead Of 2022 Polls
West Bengal CM and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, will visit Goa next week. During her visit, she'll help strengthen the party's election preparedness for the upcoming 2022 assembly election for 40 seats. The visit will start from December 13 onwards. Meanwhile, CM Banerjee will also be accompanied by AITC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, reported UNI.

Tennis Star Leander Paes & Actor Nafisa Ali Joins TMC In Goa
In the biggest development ahead of the 2022 Goa election, retired Indian tennis star Leander Paes on October 29 joined the TMC in Goa in presence of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. Besides, actor and activist Nafisa Ali also joined the party. ''I'm too happy. He's my younger brother. I know him since I was the youth minister and he was very very young,'' said Banerjee.

CM Mamata Banejee To Visit Goa To Strengthen TMC's Position
Following the excellent victory in the West Bengal assembly election, CM Mamata Banerjee is set to visit Goa on October 28 to strengthen the party's position before the upcoming state election here. Reportedly, several leaders will join the TMC in the presence of Banerjee in Goa and she'll also ''open a new office in the state''. However, Banerjee will come back to Kolkata on November 1.

WB By-Election 2021: BJP Fields Priyanka Tibrewal Against Banerjee
To compete WB CM Mamata Banerjee in the Bhabanipur byelection, BJP on September 10, fielded city Lawyer Priyanka Tibrewal against Banerjee. The polling and the counting of votes will start on September 30 & October 3, respectively. Reportedly, BJP chose Tibrewal because she's famous and has "always stood for the cause of justice." Meanwhile, BJP also named Milan Ghosh, Sujit Das to contest byelection from Samserganj and Jangipur.

BJP Govt Is "Anti-People," Says CM Mamata Over LPG Price Hike
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee criticized the Centre over the price hike of LPG gas cylinders by Rs 25 for the third time on September 1. However, she has requested PM Narendra Modi to roll back the hike. Banerjee wrote on Twitter, ''We've seen unprecedented hikes in petrol, diesel, cooking gas and cooking oil. This is absolutely unacceptable and unpardonable.'' Moreover, she said BJP government is ''anti-people'' and ''apathetic''.

WB CM Mamata Banerjee Backs Caste-Based Census In India
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has also extended her hand to support the caste-based census in the country on August 23. Banerjee said, ''I'll not have any problem accepting it.
