Srinagar Kashmir's Coaching Centres To Go For Mass Vaccination Of Students

To prevent COVID-19 third-wave from spreading, and to stop the Omicron to enter valley, coaching centers in Kashmir have decided to go for vaccination of students. The decision was taken in a joint meeting of Coaching centers & Private schools association J&K, under the chairmanship of Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar, Dr.Jameel. In the meeting, it was decided that mass vaccination will cover the age group from 15 to 18 years.

Germany To Administer 4th Dose Of COVID-19 Vaccine: Omicron Threat

Puducherry Govt Makes Vaccination Compulsory: Covid-19

Amid rising fear of Covid-19's new variant Omicron, the Puducherry Government announced compulsory vaccination, to come into effect immediately, from December 5. "We have imposed compulsory Covid-19 vaccination in Puducherry UT. Out of over 10 lakh eligible people, only 7.74 lakh people are vaccinated," said Health Director G Sriramulu. Reportedly, over 2 lakh people are not vaccinated in the UT.

India Records 11,919 Fresh Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Rate At 98.28%

India recorded 11,919 fresh Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking its active total to 1,28,762. However, 11,242 people have been recovered, taking its tally to 3,38,85,132. Furthermore, 470 deaths were recorded in a single day, out of which, Kerala reported 61 deaths. Moreover, more than 114.46 crore vaccine doses have been administered, and 62.82 crore tests have been conducted so far.

AstraZeneca Sells $2.2 Billion Worth COVID-19 Vaccines: Report

Drugmaker AstraZeneca reported that it sold more than $2.2 billion worth of COVID-19 vaccines in the past nine months. Earlier, the company promised to provide jabs on a not-for-profit basis through the pandemic. However, the company is expecting to progressively transition the vaccine to 'profitability'. AstraZeneca also reported that it will be creating more vaccine units under its plans for the future of the Pandemic.

Indian Govt Places Order For 1 Crore Zydus Cadila COVID-19 Vaccine 

The order of 1 crore Zydus Cadila’s three-dose Covid vaccines has been placed by the Indian government at 265 rupees per dose. Reportedly, the world's first DNA-based vaccine is given at day zero, day 28th and then on the 56th day. The vaccine will be administered with a needle-free applicator, called ''PharmaJet''. ''The pricing has been decided in consultation with the Government of India," said the Gujarat-based firm.

Arunachal's Total Confirmed Cases Rise To 55,176; Recovery Rate At 99.38%

Arunachal Pradesh's total Covid-19 tally of confirmed cases has reached 55,176, while two new cases were recorded at Itanagar. However, the recovery rate stands at 99.38% and the active cases at 0.11%. Furthermore, 77% of the eligible citizens in the state have been vaccinated with the first dose, while 55% have been fully vaccinated. Besides, over 54,000 cases have been recovered.
