Delhi's First Transit Oriented Hub Gets Approval
Phase one of the Integrated Development of East Delhi Hub project gets recommended environmental approval by Environment Ministry's Expert Appraisal Committee. The project requires the cutting of 123 trees and transplantation of 20 more. The site of Delhi's First Transit-Oriented Hub will be planted with 3,200 trees. The project will be developed around the Blue and Pink metro lines of the Delhi Metro.

Nepal To Turn Everest Trash Into Artwork For Environmental Awareness
In an environmental awareness move, Nepal has planned to turn the trash left by Mt Everest trekkers into artwork. Project coordinator Tommy Gustafsson, founder of Sagarmatha Next Centre, said the move will involve foreign and local artists into this initiative. NGT Committee Terms Baghjan, 26 Other Oil Fields Of Assam As Illegal
A National Green Tribunal committee has termed the Baghjan oil-field and 26 other oil-wells in Assam as illegal. Citing the findings of Justice Katakey Committee, the tribunal said none of the oil-fields procured the mandatory environmental clearances.
