3 Naval Personnel Die In Explosion Onboard 'Ageing' Destroyer INS Ranvir

Three naval personnel succumbed to injuries caused by an explosion onboard the Indian Navy ship INS Ranvir, on January 18, at Mumbai Dockyard. The deceased have been identified as Master Chief Petty Officer 1 (MCPO) Krishan Kumar, Surinder Kumar MCPO II, and AK Singh MCPO II. The Indian Navy conveyed its condolences and ordered an investigation. 'We fully stand by with the families in this difficult time,” tweeted Indian Navy.

Realme XT Explodes; Company Asks User To Come To Service Centre

In another instance, a Realme XT phone allegedly exploded and it was reported by a Twitter user Sandip Kundu. Kundu also shared some photos of the damaged phone. He said that it was his friend's phone, which exploded on December 28. Realme asked the user to come to the nearest service centre for inspection. Earlier in 2020, a phone was also blasted and the company had blamed ''external force''.

Explosion Kills 12 & Leaves Several Injured In Karachi: Pakistan

About twelve people died and many were left injured in an explosion in Pakistan, on December 18. Local media sources said, massive blast happened in Shershah area of Karachi. In addition, the concerned authority rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation. The reason of the sudden blast is yet to be ascertained, but sources suggest it could have been caused due to a gas leakage.

91 Die, Over 100 Injured In Fuel Tanker Blast In Sierra Leone Capital

In a fuel tanker explosion, at least 91 people lost their lives and over 100 persons were reported wounded in the capital city of Sierra Leone on November 5. The explosion occurred in the vehicle following a collision, reported Reuters. Reportedly, some people died while collecting the fuel which was leaking from the tanker. However, the official death toll has not been confirmed by the government.

Bomb Goes Off In Afghanistan's Kunduz Mosque; 50 Dead & 90 Injured

A bomb exploded in a mosque in Afghanistan's northeastern Kunduz region, killing at least 50 and injuring more than 90 others on October 8, as per Taliban authorities. The big explosion occurred during the weekly Friday prayer service at a Shiite mosque. The reason was not entirely evident. The Taliban leadership has been dealing with increasing danger from a Daesh group in the region.

Delhi-based Advocate's Nord 2 5G Explodes; Plans To Sue OnePlus

Gaurav Gulati, a Delhi-based advocate, alleged on Twitter that his OnePlus Nord 2 5G exploded in his office on September 8. Reportedly, He's carrying the phone in his gown's pocket and threw it after he felt the heat. Gulati also said, ''It's like you're carrying a bomb after spending Rs 30,000-35,000.'' Meanwhile, Gulati decided to sue OnePlus, while the company said he didn't let it ''perform a proper diagnosis''.

Man Dies After Gelatin Sticks Explodes In Karnataka

A bunch of gelatin sticks exploded in the early hours in Karnataka's Chikkaballapur on August 17, claiming the life of a 48-year-old man. The truck was transporting gelatin sticks to a quarry. The explosion was so powerful, it completely damaged the vehicle, unable to identify the body of the deceased, Mahesh, the police informed. Reportedly, this is the third incident of gelatin explosion being reported in Karnataka this year.

Massive Fire Following Cylinder Blast Claims Four Lives In Delhi

A massive fire broke out last night in the Shahdara area of East Delhi leading to the death of four people, while one suffered burn injuries on June 29. The fire erupted following a cylinder blast at a house in the Farsh Bazar area of Shahdara, said Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg. Meanwhile, the bodies were sent for post mortem, and the injured have been admitted to the hospital.

At Least 82 Dead, 110 Injured In COVID Hospital Fire In Baghdad

A fire triggered at a COVID hospital in Iraq’s Baghdad on April 24 has killed 82 people and injured 110 people. Caused by explosion in oxygen tank, the fire at the Ibn Khatib hospital in the Diyala Bridge area forced people to jump out of window to escape. Terming it an evidence of negligence, PM Mustafa al-Kadhimi ordered an investigation stating a need to review safety measures for all hospitals.
