Delhi: DDA To Come Up With Policy For Development In Green Belt Areas
Zooming in on the development in villages of the green belt, the Delhi Development Authority will soon be putting a policy in the public domain. The new policy, tentatively named Low-Intensity Development Area (LIDA), aims to allow the setting up of institutions, hospitals and parks in the area, which as of now is restricted. Delhi Govt. Launches ‘Green Delhi’ App For Complaints Against Pollution
In yet another step to fight pollution, the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal launched a new app, 'Green Delhi'. Reportedly, the app allows people to file complaints against pollution. Further, along with the complaint, people can attach a related image, audio or video and the app records the location of the incident. The CM also boasted about the measures taken by his government and said that pollution had reduced by 25% in the last five years.
