Statue Of Mahatma Gandhi Defaced By 'Khalistani' Protestors In Washington
A group of 'Khalistani' protestors defaced the statue of Mahatma Gandhi installed at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Plaza in Washington DC. The protestors on December 12 had gathered to oppose the farm laws passed by the Indian government. The statue was draped in a yellow flag surrounded by posters and banners. The Indian embassy has condemned the incident and has asked the US Department of State to take action.

Chhattisgarh’s IPS officer, Rajinder Kumar Vij’s sketch of Mahatma Gandhi is grabbing attention and appreciation across social media platforms. “Gandhiji is a role model for me,” the officer says, adding he has a passion for sketching. The officer is inspired by Gandhiji’s principles of truth and non-violence, which he wishes to apply to police forces as well. “Police must be like friends to the public,” he says.

Mahatma Gandhi’s Iconic Glasses Auctioned for Over Rs 2.5 crore
Mahatma Gandhi’s iconic gold-rimmed glasses were auctioned in UK for £260,000 (over Rs 2.5 crore) to an American collector. The glasses were found in a letter box outside the East Bristol Auctions house. Reportedly, it was sent by a man who claimed that his uncle had been given the glasses by Gandhi on his visit to South Africa in the 1920s. The glasses mark the house’s biggest sale till date.
