Union FM Nirmala Sitharaman pointed out the biggest risk of cryptocurrency and said, "I think the biggest risk for all countries across the board will be the money laundering aspect and also the aspect of currency being used for financing terror." Addressing the Spring Meeting of the World Bank, Sitharaman shared her views on digital money and regulation for the same. She also held bilateral meetings with international leaders.

The parliament has approved a Rs 1.42 lakh crore budget for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for the year 2022-23, on March 23. The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill, 2022 and The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation (No.2) Bill, 2022 were approved by Lok Sabha on March 14. PM Narendra Modi stated that the Union Budget 2022-23 focuses on providing basic necessities to the middle-class, poor and youth, on February 2. He further stated that this year's budget will lead the country towards "modernization". He said, "seven to eight years ago, India's GDP was Rs 1.10 lakh crore.
