An unfortunate incident reported at Mumbai railway station. On August 7, a man identified as Manoj Chowdhary (32) was apprehended by the police for allegedly attempting murder and molesting a woman in the ladies' compartment. The distressing incident occurred on August 6 at 4 pm when the victim embarked on her journey from Pune to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai, aboard the Udyan Express. An investigation is underway.

In shocking news, a 17-year-old teenager committed suicide over pocket money, in Mangalore, Karnataka. Getting into the details, Sushanth (17) was upset as he asked for Rs 500 on his first day of college, but was denied by his parents.  Dejected, Sushanth decided to stay back at home, and when his parents weren't around, hanged himself to death. The incident occurred on August 3, and a police case was registered.

In a horrific incident, a 14-year-old minor girl was reportedly burnt in a coal furnace in Rajasthan's Bhilwara district.  On August 3, the police confirmed the incident with the possibility of gang rape before burning the girl. The Rajasthan police have arrested three accused in connection with the incident. The matter was reported on night of August 2, and a case has been registered for detailed investigation.

In a horrific incident, a Bengaluru college student was gang-raped by three people, including her dance teacher. The accused Andy, Santhosh and Shashi has been arrested. A college student was killed in Delhi today after being attacked with a rod, police said. The incident took place at a park near Aurobindo College in Delhi's Malviya Nagar. According to police, the girl, identified as Nargis, is a student of Kamala Nehru College and had come to the park with her male friend. Police have arrested the 28-year-old friend, believed to have attacked her with a rod.
