The apex court of India refused to entertain Jagjit Singh's plea seeking the transfer of Sidhu Moose Wala's murder case to CBI, on July 11. The bench stated that such cases should not be given a "political colour". Meanwhile, Lawrence Bishnoi's father has challenged the transit remand of his son to the Punjab police, which will be heard on July 18. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is the prime accused in the case.

A Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested Ankit Sirsa, who allegedly shot dead singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala on May 29. Delhi Police detained three people in connection with the murder of Punjabi artist Sidhu Moose Wala, including two main shooters on June 20. According to the authorities, Moose Wala was shot first by a guy named Manpreet Manu. The police discovered a large stockpile of weapons, including three handguns with 50 rounds, eight high explosive grenades, grenade launchers, and nine electric detonators.  

A Red Corner Notice (RCN) has been issued against gangster Goldy Brar and gangster-turned-terrorist Harvinder Sandhu alias Rinda, by International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol). Brar who is operating from Canada, earlier took responsibility for Sidhu Moose Wala's killing. Meanwhile, Rinda is believed to be operating from Pakistan. Reportedly, with the RCN, the process to extradite them to India will soon begin.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed his condolences to Sidhu Moose Wala's family members and parents. On June 7, Gandhi, accompanied by other officials visited Punjab's Mansa district and expressed his condolences. In regard to his visit, the Punjab police tightened security in the district.
