Indian Family Kidnapping: Suspect In California Kidnapping Case Arrested
Jesus Manuel Salgado, has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and murdering four Indians living in California. The victims include a baby, the two parents and another person. The investigation continues following Salgado’s arrest, to ensure any additional person involved is also nabbed. The bodies of the four victims who originally hailed from Punjab, were reportedly discovered in a farm area in Merced county.

He further stated that there is a “black sheep” in the police department. Packet With AK-47 Rifle Recovered Near International Border In Ferozepur
The Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab police recovered a fully wrapped packet with an AK-47 rifle near the International Border. The rifle is suspected to have come from Pakistan, and was found at a farm of a local farmer in Ferozepur. The packet contained “A1” written on it, indicating that other such supplies might exist. With this, the BSF is on a watch in the aforementioned area.

Environmental Compensation Of Over Rs 2,000 Crore Imposed On Punjab By NGT

First-Year Student From Lovely Professional University Dies By Suicide In Punjab’s Jalandhar; Protests Erupt
In Punjab’s Jalandhar, a first-year student studying at Lovely Professional University died by way of suicide on September 20. The police reportedly received a call at around 5:30, regarding the demise of a first-year B. Design student. A suicide note has been recovered from the spot, which cites “personal reasons”. A large amount of students stormed the university campus to stage a protest.

Amarinder Singh Joins BJP, Merges PLC-BJP In Punjab
Former Punjab CM Amarinder Singh joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of senior leaders of the saffron party. On September 19, the veteran former Congress leader also merged his newly formed Punjab Lok Congress (PLC), which was floated last year after quitting Congress, and joined it with the BJP.
