Odisha Assembly Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro on April 3 suspended three BJP MLAs for allegedly throwing shoes, microphones and papers at the Speaker's podium. Reportedly, the MLAs - Jayanarayan Mishra, Bishnu Prasad Sethi and Mohan Majhi - threw the articles after getting agitated over the Speaker. Kerala: SEC Suspends Officer Who Approved 5 Voter IDs For One Person

The Kerala State Election Commission has suspended a deputy tehsildar level officer, who was assigned a poll duty, for approving five voter IDs to one person. Reportedly, the Chief Electoral Officer has ordered a thorough investigation in all 140 constituencies of the state. However, the commission has not found any political motive behind the approval yet and has assured strict action if the approval is found to be intentional.

UP: Two Police Chiefs Suspended in 2 Days for Corruption Charges

Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath suspended two police chiefs in two days for corruption charges. On September 9, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Mahoba, Mani Lal Patidar was connected to DGP headquarters for asking bribe from vehicle owners. In a similar incident, the SSP of Prayagraj Abhishek Dixit was suspended on the previous day. Dixit was found to have encouraged "corruption in postings".
