Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya, who previously sparked controversy with his statements about Ramcharitmanas, once more facing criticism for his comments concerning Brahminism and the Hindu. Maurya, who is a member of the UP legislative council said, "The roots of Brahminism are very deep and the reason for all the disparity is also Brahminism. There is no religion called Hindu."The video is going viral, gaining criticism.

Arrest Warrant Issued Against Swami Prasad Maurya: Uttar Pradesh

An arrest warrant has been issued against former UP Minister and BJP leader Swami Prasad Maurya.  The warrant has been issued in seven years old,  2014 hate speech case. Notably, the matter will be heard by a special MLA Court in Uttar Pradesh, on January 24. The issued warrant came a day after he submitted his resignation from the BJP Cabinet in Uttar Pradesh, ahead of the State Assembly polls.

My Move Caused Bhuchaal In BJP, Says Swami Prasad Maurya: UP Assembly Polls 2022

Ahead of the UP Assembly elections, BJP minister Swami Prasad Maurya quit the BJP and said to announce his next political action on January 14. "My move has caused a bhoochal (earthquake) in the BJP," said Maurya. Furthermore, he said, "I've rejected the BJP, there is no question of going back". Besides Maurya and three MLAs, 10 more MLAs are expected to quit BJP and join the SP soon.

Swami Prasad Maurya & 4 BJP MLAs Likely To Join SP: UP Assembly Polls

Swami Prasad Maurya, former UP Minister and BJP leader formally quit the party, on January 11. Along with Maurya, four other BJP MLAs; Brajesh Prajapati, Roshan Lal Verma, Bhagwati Sagar and Vinay Shakya also announced their resignation from the BJP.  The members are expected to join the Samajwadi Party. The big jolt to the Yogi Adityanath Government came when UP is going to conduct Assembly elections, starting from February 7.

UP Labour & Employment Minister Resigns BJP Cabinet Ahead Of UP Assembly Polls

UP Labor and Employment Minister Swami Prasad Maurya, on January 11, designed from the Cabinet. However, he clarified that he is yet to quit the BJP and will take decision after discussing same with his followers. "Though I have met Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav but I will take a call to join any party after discussing with my supporters and well wishers," said Maurya.
