Thiruvallur Student Death: Police Deployed Outside Thiruvallur Govt Medical College, Autopsy Underway
Police security has been tightened outside Thiruvallur Government Medical College Hospital in Tamil Nadu, after a class 12 student hanged herself a day ago. The girl was found hanging in her hostel room. Reportedly, the girl was a student of Sacred Heart senior secondary school near Kilacheri village in Mappedu. Furthermore, the Autopsy is being conducted in the presence of CB-CID officials.

Chennai Metro Rail To Conduct Live Musical Performances At Metro Stations & In Trains: Tamil Nadu
The Chennai Metro Rail Ltd. is scheduled to organise live musical performances at metro stations and in trains. The move is expected to increase footfall, and will be carried out for a month, starting this weekend. Reportedly, the performances will be held between 6pm to 8pm, in collaboration with 'On the Streets of Chennai'. The first performance will be held at High Court Metro station, on July 23.

Kallakurichi Student Death Case: SC Refuses To Grant Permission For 3rd Post Mortem Of Victim
In the case of Kallakurichi student death, the Supreme Court of India refused to entertain the victim's father's plea to conduct a third post-mortem with the presence of a medical practitioner of petitioner's choice. Meanwhile, protests broke out in Kallakurichi, where buses were set ablaze and school property was vandalised. A class 12 student allegedly died by way of suicide, accusing two teachers in a suicide note.

Kallakurichi Student Death Case: Kallakurichi SP S Selvakumar Transferred Amid Protests
Amid raging protests following the death of a class 12 student in Tamil Nadu's Kallakurichi, the district Superintendent of Police S Selvakumar has been transferred with immediate effect. Triplicane Deputy Commissioner of Police P Pakalavan has been appointed as the SP of Kallakurichi. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu DGP Sylendra Babu after visiting the school, ordered for a transfer of the case to CB-CID.
