ICG Chopper Deployed To Carry Our Search & Rescue Operation Of Missing Fisherman: Kerala

After Sri Shihab, a 30-year-old fisherman went missing off Urupunya Kavu beach on July 12, a search and rescue operation has been initiated by the Indian Coast Guard. Reportedly, due to inclement weather, three fishermen who ventured into the sea went missing. While two of them were rescued, one is still missing. Reportedly, the rescue operation is being carried out by ICG helicopter.

Trapped Trekker Rescued After 2 Days By Army: Kerala

A 23-year-old youth, who was trapped in the hill cleft in Palakkad district, has been rescued by an Army team on February 9. The rescue operation began at 5.45 am, Drones were used for surveillance of the location and choppers were on standby at Sulur airbase. He was immediately given food and water. Notably, The man had gone up while exploring the rocky hill along with two other friends.

"Modern Search And Rescue" Technique Included In Training Module: ITBP

To update its training modules, the Indo Tibetian Border Police (ITBP) on October 29 introduced a ''modern search and rescue operation''. The introduction of the module will help ITBP jawans to handle different situations from Ladakh to Arunachal. "The purpose of modern rescue training is to make our troops able to take minimum time during rescue operations in any incident," said I.S Duhan, ITBP Inspector General.

Miami Building Collapse: Search & Rescue Efforts Turn Into Recovery Operation

According to Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, the June 24 Miami building collapse tragedy, has been converted from search and rescue efforts to a recovery operation. With the retrieval of 8 more bodies, the death toll has amounted to 54 along with 86 "potentially unaccounted for" people. "Our team has developed a very detailed plan to guide the transition and a well-ordered operation," Mayor Cava added.

NDRF Goes 'Vocal For Local', Trains 'Desi' Dogs for Search, Rescue Operations

Inspired by 'Vocal for Local' campaign, National Disaster Response Force's (NDRF) dog squad is training 'stray dogs' for search-and-rescue operations.
