He warned of misinformation and deep-fake technology. He also flagged the threat that social media apparently poses to US elections. He also called for tighter regulations for social media. His comments come amid an ongoing debate about the dangers of online censorship.

White House Staff Member Tests Covid-19 Positive, Contacted President Biden

A White House employee who contacted President Joe Biden on December 17, tested positive for COVID-19. He had spent 30 minutes in proximity to the President on Air Force One, cofirmed the White House spokesperson Jen Psaki, on December 20. "This morning, after being notified of the staffer's positive test, the President received a PCR test and tested negative," she said. Meanwhile, President will continue with his daily schedule.

U.S. Senate Passes Bill To Prevent Government Shutdown, Sent To Biden

The US Senate on December 2, passed a stopgap spending bill to fund the federal government through mid-February, that will avoid a short-term shutdown. The Senate then cleared the bill on a 69-28 vote, according to Sputnik news agency. Now the bill has been sent to White House for the signature of President Joe Biden. Earlier, House of Representatives passed the continuing resolution in a vote of 221 to 212.

US To Soon Complete Evacuation If Taliban Cooperates: Joe Biden
