IMA Members Protest Against Centre's Decision On Ayurveda Surgeons
The Indian Medical Association members and doctors on December 11 withdrew their services, except for emergency and COVID-19 situation, to protest against the Centre. The protest is aimed against the Centre's decision, which allows the Postgraduate students of Ayurveda to perform surgeries. While 30,000 doctors from Gujarat went on strike, AIIMS and other Delhi-based hospital doctors worked wearing black ribbons. IMA president Dr. R Sharma said modern medicine and Ayurveda should not be mixed.
