Sunrisers Loses Another Sitter; Mumbai Indians Win By 13 Runs
Sunrisers Hyderabad's unwanted losing streak in IPL 2021 has continued as it let go another sitter by 13 runs to Mumbai Indians. Winning the toss, Mumbai decided to bat first, although many teams have generally preferred to opt otherwise this year. With a solid opening partnership between Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock and a tremendous finishing from Kieron Pollard, MI managed to score 150 runs at the loss of five wickets at the Chepauk stadium, Chennai. Sunrisers, similar to the earlier matches, looked quite comfortable in the beginning of the chase as opening pair of David Warner (36 runs) and Jonny Bairstow (43 runs) rained hard on MI's bowlers in powerplays. Sunrisers lost its first wicket at 67 runs in 8th over. However, SRH's shower-of-runs frolic soon turned into fall-of-wickets inning as its middle and lower order collapsed abysmally again. SRH could post only 137 runs on the scoreboard at the loss of 10 wickets, suffering their third straight defeat in the tournament.
