US Reports First SARS-CoV-2 Case In Deer
The US Department of Agriculture reported SARS-CoV-2's first case in wild white-tailed deer. "We do not know how the deer were exposed to SARS-CoV-2. It’s possible they were exposed through people, the environment, other deer, or another animal species," said Lyndsay Cole, the spokesperson of USDA. The previous month, USDA reported that white-tailed deer in Illinois, Michigan, New York, and Pennsylvania got infected with SARS-CoV-2.
