Mumbai Airport Handles 1,30,374 Passengers In 24 Hours, Highest Since Pandemic
The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) handled 1,30,374 passengers in 24 hours on September 17, making it the highest since the beginning of the pandemic. The growth in footfall is reportedly due to rising flight movements, newer destinations and an increase in airline’s capacity. Also, on September 17, CSMIA witnessed 839 total flight movements. Meanwhile, IndiGo, Air India and Emirates stand at the top three spots.
