Fire Crackers Banned In Odisha To Curb COVID Spread
To curb the COVID-19 spread through air pollution, Odisha government has imposed a ban on firecrackers in the state just ahead of Diwali. The State's Special Relief Commissioner pointed out the risk of burning crackers during the pandemic and urged to celebrate through conventional methods. As per a notification, sale and use of firecrackers will be banned from November 10-30. Moreover, violators will be booked under Disaster Management Act (2005).
