8 Eastern States Extremely Vulnerable To Climate Change: Report
Eight eastern states - Jharkhand, Mizoram, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Bihar, Arunachal and West Bengal are extremely susceptible to the increasing effects of climate change. According to a report released by IIT-Guwahati, Mandi and IISc-Bangalore, these states need to be prioritized for funding and preparation for upcoming risks. The study revealed, approximately 90% districts in Assam, 80% in Bihar, and 60% in Jharkhand are among the 153 most vulnerable districts.
