Delhi Pollution Levels Decreases Amid Development: Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal addressed Publix and said, Delhi witnessed a dip in the pollution, despite development. Addressing a gathering at Thyagaraj Stadium on the occasion of World Environment Day, Kejriwal asserted that both PM 2.5 and PM 10 levels "fell by 30 per cent" in 2022. Arvind Kejriwal said whenever development happens, it is accompanied with pollution due to felling of dust, construction and other issues.

In a breaking news, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Cabinet minister Satyender Jain resigned from their posts. The development came after the Supreme Court refused to entertain the plea of Sisodia, against the CBI arrest in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. While both the ministers are currently remanded with the CBI, the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal accepted the resignation of Manish Sisodia and Satyender Jain.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met the heroes of the Mundka fire incident on May 17. A massive fire broke out last week in a factory in Mundka. Several people lost their lives in the incident, while many people were injured and are being treated at a hospital. Kejriwal was impressed by the bravery and solidarity of these people and met them at the Delhi Secretariat.

CM Arvind Kejriwal To Meet Families Of Gokulpuri Fire Incident Victim

Reacting to the tragic fire incident, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal expressed grief and said, he will meet the families of Gokulpuri fire incident victims. Taking to Twitter Kejriwal said, "I got to hear this sad news in the morning. I myself will go there and meet the victims." Earlier, on March 12, about 30 shanties were burnt and around seven people died after a fire broke out in the Gokulpuri area.
