B'luru: Kempegowda International Airport Becomes Net Energy Neutral
The Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore has met its target of achieving the energy neutrality by FY 2020-21. As per airport operator BIAL, KIA has met its 98% energy needs through renewable sources. Besides, it has managed to save 22 lakh units of energy as well. The airport authority cited increased installation of solar panels and wind power units as a reason behind the achievement.
