First Case Of Black Fungus Affecting Children Surfaces In Karnataka
Karnataka has registered its first case of Mucormycosis (black fungus) in children. The disease has been detected in two children, aged 11 and 14, in Ballari district and Chitradurga district of the state. The children have been admitted to government hospitals and are currently in critical condition. As of now, Karnataka has reported 1250 cases of black fungus, of which at least 39 people have succumbed to the deadly disease.
