DCGA Imposes Rs 20 Lakh Fine On Kolkata Airport

Due to poor maintenance, the Director General of Civil Aviation, imposed a fine of Rs 20 lakhs on the Kolkata Airport. The Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Airport violated serious norms of maintenance and runway, following which the DGCA imposed heavy fine after issuing a show cause notice. Furthermore, the Airport Authorities of India (AAI) formed a committee to look into the matter.

Government Plans To Sell 10 Airports In 3rd Round Of Privatisation

Civil Aviation Secretary Pradeep Singh Kharola on January 4 notified that in the third round of airport divestments, around ten airports will be privatised.
