The OTT platform Netflix is said to have acquired rights of Katrina Kaif's starter 'Merry Christmas".  According to sources, the streaming platform signed a deal of over Rs 60 crores, and took the streaming right of yet to release film, directed by Sriram Raghavan. Ahead of the release, the glimpse and the initial posts of the films, made fans excited.  A large section of audience is waiting for the film.

Zomato's acquisition of instant delivery service platform Blinkit did not go over well with investors, as the company's shares have dropped more than 20% since the announcement. On June 24, Zomato's Board of Directors authorized to purchase of Blinkit for Rs 4,447 crore. Zomato shares closed at Rs 54.9 on July 1, down around 23%. According to National Stock Exchange statistics, the company's current market value is Rs 43,147 crore.   

Apple officially announced the acquisition of 'PrimePhonic', a famous music streaming service on August 31. “Primephonic was founded to ensure that classical music will stay relevant for future generations,” said Gordon P. Getty, a major shareholder of Primephonic. Besides, the company says that the subscribers of Apple-Music will experience a much better and improved service along with the exclusive audio content. 

Following the acquisition of US-based "Epic", India's education startup Byju's has decided to acquire two platforms namely "Toppr" and "Great Learning" on July 25. Reportedly, the company will pay $600 million to "Great Learning" and $150 million to "Toppr". It is expected that Great learning's acquisition will help the BYJU's to take on "upGrad" and 'Simplilearn'. Moreover, Toppr's base will improve its market in ''the K-12 learning segment… read-more
