Priyanjali Gupta, an engineering student from Tamil Nadu’s Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), created an AI model that translates American sign language (ASL) into English in real-time. She shared her creation on LinkedIn, citing “Made this model using this cool Tensorflow object detection API''. The Alexa device takes commands for the user who speaks and not for the one who cannot speak or cannot hear, she further added.
